The document entitled Authors & Their Papers has been collaboratively produced by British and Commonwealth colleagues, to provide guidance for negotiations between archivists and (especially literary) authors who are considering disposing of their papers. The latest version is available to view on the GLAM website here.

It would be interesting to have comments from SLA members, and, in particular, to have opinions as to whether this UK/Commonwealth document might have wider international application and use.
