In discussion with SLMT colleagues about a possible collaborative project with Cape Verdean archivists on musical collections, it becomes clear that there are very many similarities between the archives of Literature, Art and Music. Perhaps we should transform ourselves into SLAM?

Interesting idea. There are certainly many fruitful parallels and connections between archives of creatives (be they writers, artists, musicians, etc.). I’m reminded here of literary/artistic circles and the powerful intersections between artists practicing in a variety of media. Worth exploring further!
